For 3 years Facebook’s Facebook cover photo (say that three times fast) was a weird illustrated map in the signature blue we’ve all come to know and love.

So we decided to change it.

In the spirit of the Facebook rebrand, we decided to dive into what “let’s find more that brings us together” really means. Each month we would bring two artists of different disciplines together to create a new cover photo. The only rules were that their styles had to be different and we had to include the headline.

There was so much love for the first month’s photo that we got to create an IRL installation in the NY Facebook office. The artists flew in from Australia and we worked with fabricator extraordinaire’s One Hat One Hand. The piece moves, lights up, and has sections to sit in.

We also created monthly behind the scenes videos to showcase the artists’ process.
